Something for antipodeans everywhere, a globe with a difference, a globe that shows the world the other way up.
As with all of the globes in our collection it has been produced
in the same way as it would’ve been in the heyday of British
globemaking, a papier mache sphere is skimmed with plaster
and sanded smooth to form the perfect surface to which the
map is then applied.
Shellac and lacquer form a perfect satin finish to this exquisite
table globe.
It has a diameter of 10 inches and stands at
56 cms
