Library Globe
The cartography and artwork have been produced to reflect an ever changing world but delivered in a classic style to resemble British library globes from the 19th Century. Both globes show 3580 towns and cities, 420 islands, 490 rivers and lakes,1590 examples of bathymetry, including seamounts and troughs and also 670 Unesco World heritage sites. They are constantly kept up to date. Shellac and lacquer form a perfect hard wearing finish to these exquisite floor standing globes. The brass work has been given a light age in keeping with the aesthetic of the cartography. Both stands are recycled walnut sourced from a local boatyard, giving a new life to wood that has already journeyed around the world. Delivery to Mainland UK inclusive.
