Thank you for shopping with us! We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This policy outlines how we handle returns and refunds for standard stock items only. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns for made to order and bespoke orders, nor can we accept returns from overseas.
Please read theses terms and conditions carefully before you order, as by ordering one of our globes, that will constitute an acceptance of them.
BUT FIRST, A FEW NOTES ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS
Whilst every effort is made to advertise our products accurately with regard to colourways and finishes, there may be slight differences in reproduction between what you see online and the delivered product itself due to varying screen settings. Slight variations may occur.
Our products are proudly handmade. We use making techniques that master globe makers used hundreds of years ago; these are age-old, tried and tested methods, and adhering to this artisanal craft is part of what makes our business unique. As such, as with any handmade item, there will be visible evidence of this practice: there will be a slight overlapping of map gores, there may, on occasion, be tiny discrepancies of latitude/longitude lines matching up. This is to be expected from a process which has been put together my human hands. Every part of the globe making has been undertaken by a real life globe maker, especially for you, there is no automated process, no mass production, no AI, or machine precision engineering. From the making of the plaster sphere, to the mark of a paint brush, to the screwing of a finial. We want you to feel that connection to the maker, to the material, and to the historic provenance of the method. These are characteristics of the pieces, as they have always been, and should not be considered defects. We cannot, therefore, accept any return because of these very slight evidences.
1. Return Window
- You may return eligible items within 7 days from the date of delivery. In the first instance, pease contact us in writing, by email, stating why would wish to return the item. Let's talk, and see if we put things right first.
2. Return Policy
All our items are made to order. We do not carry stock items. As such, we cannot accept returns unless the goods are actually faulty. If you believe this to be the case, in the first instance, please write to us with your complaint.
To be eligible for a return, items must be returned in their original packaging.
3. Refund/Exchange Options
- You can choose to receive a full refund to your original payment method, an exchange for a new item, or store credit.
- Example: We offer a full refund to your original method of payment within 10 days of receiving the returned item, providing the item is in perfect condition. We cannot accept returns that have been damaged by the recipient, accidentally or otherwise. For damage in transit, the third party courier company will need to be contacted. Please make sure you take multiple photos of any item you are returning, both unpackaged, and re-packaged. Courier companies will not entertain liability if there is no evidence of how they left the sender.
4. How to Initiate a Return
- Contact Us: Email our customer service team at [email protected]] with your order number and the reason for your return.
- Receive Instructions: We will provide you with instructions on how to package and send your return.
- Ship the Item: Ship the item to the address we provide.
5. Return Shipping Costs
- We would either refund you shipping costs or send a label for you to attach to the box
6. Processing & Refunds
- Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the status of your return.
- If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your original payment method within 7 days.
7. Damaged or Defective Items
- If your product arrived damaged or defective, please contact us at [email protected] within 3 days of delivery.
- A full refund or replacement will be issued, including the cost of original shipping.
